Vania Meltzer

Vania has always had a love for children and knew that she wanted to work with them. That’s why she went back to studying to fulfil her dream of teaching after her children were born. Vania has been working at Happy Days Pre-Primary School since 2000 and describes her experience at the school as being a part of a family who constantly share ideas and knowledge, and always support one another.
Nandy Cameron
Vice-Principal and Grade R Teacher
Nandy joined the Happy Days Pre-Primary family in 2010, but has been teaching for over 18 years. Nandy initially became a teacher to assist her own children and quickly discovered the benefits of the Montessori method. Nandy’s favourite aspects about working at Happy Days are the connections made among the staff, sharing teaching ideas with her co-workers and witnessing how Montessori is both easily implemented and beneficial for each child, offering them a happy, stimulating learning environment.
Belinda Carter
Grade RR Teacher
Belinda has trained in the Montessori method and is passionate about her field as she is able to observe children grow whilst building them up. Belinda has been working at Happy Days Pre-Primary school since 2016 and loves her job. Every day is different, every child is unique and the staff both have fun and work well together as colleagues and friends.
Linda Marais
Grade RRR Teacher
Linda first joined Happy Days Pre-Primary School from 2004 to 2006 and returned in 2024 after serving as Principal at other preschools over the years. With a deep passion for teaching, Linda is committed to creating a nurturing and enriching environment for every child. She believes that Happy Days offers an exceptional ethos and learning experience, providing the best foundation for your child’s growth and development.
Elizabeth (Lizzy) Chekamba
Toddler Teacher
Liz has been a dedicated member of the Happy Days Pre-Primary family since 2008. With a commitment to continuous growth, she has completed various development courses to enhance her skills. Passionate about creating a fun, safe, and inclusive environment, Liz believes in nurturing each child’s innocence and potential. As a teacher, she takes pride in her many responsibilities, ensuring that every child feels cared for and supported in their early learning journey.
Samantha Wiggill
School Secretary
Sam joined Happy Days Pre Primary as the School Secretary in March 2024 and has quickly embraced the role. With a passion for early childhood development, she finds working at a pre-primary school especially rewarding. Sam believes that these early years are crucial for fostering the emotional and cognitive foundations that shape children into capable, confident adults. Her love for children and supporting their growth aligns perfectly with the nurturing environment of the school, making her an integral part of the community.
Sindi Mshengu
Teacher’s Assistant
Sindi joined Happy Days Pre Primary in January 2023 and has been working with children since 2014. She holds a Diploma in Grade R and brings over 8 years of experience in education. Sindi is passionate about fostering creativity and making learning fun. Her approach is centered on supporting each child’s learning journey, helping them explore, grow, and thrive in an engaging and nurturing environment.
Mbali Ninela
Teacher’s Assistant
Mbali joined Happy Days Pre-Primary in May 2024, bringing with her a passion for early childhood education and a diploma in Educare. She has always loved working with children and believes that each child is unique, deserving of a nurturing environment to grow and thrive. Mbali’s approach is child-centered and play-based, with a strong focus on fostering social-emotional development, ensuring every child feels valued and supported.
